2012 is here at last, and I'm getting the joy of starting the year off with car repair. My poor old Landcruiser. She's my baby, but she needs some work yet again, as a bearing crapped out on the power steering pump. It's a little bit crucial, considering that the belt that runs on it connects to the alternator and keeps that in operation. *sigh* I tried to get the old one out today, and the cold/dark sneaked up on me before I could finish. Okay, boys and girls and everything in between. Today is Halloween. This means that tomorrow, November 1st, is the first day of NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. This is the first time I will have ever attempted this challenge, because somehow, despite 4 years of college in the English department and living/working in bookstores and libraries essentially my entire life, I've never heard of it before this year. Yeah. So, I'll be taking the entire month of November and attempting to crank out 1,666 words per day (minimum) so that I can reach the goal of 50,000 words before the first of December.
